University Fighting Games

The UFG is the first ever UK university fighting game league! Partnering with NSE and featuring multiple games, we aim to produce a competitive online environment for university students in the UK, to allow for the development of the scene and its players as a combined body. We will be using this page for all UFG related news, and to host the official league tables for each game of the season!

Community tournaments

Community tournaments are the lifeblood of esports at university. Here you can see those being run both by the NSE community team as well as universities and societies themselves.

The Community Team supports gaming communities that are not currently represented in the Championships. If you think a game should be added you can submit suggestion to our community team using this form or message our community directly on discord.

The British University Esports Championship

Taking inspiration from British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS), whose points table is a key consideration for prospective students evaluating their universities, the table showcases the UK’s top esports universities and provides an ongoing benchmark for developing societies. Each tournament that contributes points to the overall Championship has been carefully designed to cater to players of every skill level. While specific formats will vary from game to game, the majority of players will have an opportunity to compete in divisional playoffs and vie for glory. While teams competing in each game’s Championship playoff will earn the most points for their university, the top 64 teams in each league will contribute points to their university’s overall score.
