Gaming for Good

Get your family and friends involved in a gaming Charity Event for ‘Children with Cancer UK’. Prepared by students from University of Essex Video Game Society with the £800 goal in mind to help those in need.

The Charity Event will be divided into two tournaments: CS:GO 2v2s and League of Legend’s 1v1s.

From 25th March, the CS:GO tournament will start at approximately 5pm GMT and the prize pool covers £25, 8-month supply of Monster Cans and VIP Music Render Membership EACH for the first place, second place prize includes £15, products from Play Beyond Nutrition and Music Render Membership EACH and third place includes £10, game code and Music Render Membership EACH.

League Tournament will take place from 26th until 27th of March and start at approximately 5pm GMT. The prize pool includes £50, 8-month supply of Monster Cans and VIP Music Render Membership for first place, second place prize includes £20, products from Play Beyond Nutrition and Membership for Music Render, third place prize covers £10, game code and Music Render Membership.

To successfully apply, you need a Challenger Mode account linked with your application form as well as £5 fee in order to participate in any tournament.

The tournaments will be streamed, so even if you are not taking part, you can join and support us with kind donations! The stream will be broadcasted on EVGS Twitch account.

As a thank you to everyone who participated or helped out, the afterparty on 27th March will start at 11pm GMT.

Currently, the tournaments are partnered with DeMont Fort University Video Game Society, Queen Mary University of London, Play Beyond Nutrition, Monster Energy x NSE, Sketchbook Games (Colchester), The Sixth Sense (Ipswich) and massive support from Exeter University Video Game Society and Liverpool University Video Game Society.
