The Intel Monthly MVP is a community-driven award where students around the country can nominate their peers for their outstanding behaviours, activities, achievements and just generally going above and beyond within gaming and esports.

This month, the winner is Jessica 'smolbun' Dickson. They were nominated (and won) due to going above and beyond for the University of Nottingham's Gaming Society.

"Jessica has been the backbone of the society. Even though she does an extremely intensive course which requires her to be in 9-5 every week day as well as dealing with placements and a multitude of personal issues, she is always able to help the society to be a better place. Jessica has organised numerous events this year including watch parties and socials. She has put a massive emphasis on our diversity and has been a key part of making women and non binary members feel welcome at our society which is often a hard task as women are often ostracised in gaming communities."

We sat down with our MVP to have a chat about their role at the University of Nottingham's Gaming Society and future endeavours.

If you know of somebody who you think is an outstanding member of your community, for any reason, then please, nominate them for April's Intel Monthly MVP award - entries are open now! The winner will be awarded a swag bag of Intel goodies, including an exclusive Intel Monthly MVP pin.

Nominations close on Monday 17th April.
