You never know quite what to expect when you try something new. When Belong Arenas started appearing up and down the country, the notion of running a cross-arena esports tournament across a handful of arenas was more of a “why not”. No-one could have predicted then what it has turned into today.
Fast forward around two years and we have Belong Arena Clash, a grassroots esports tournament run up and down the country that is now approaching its Spring 2019 season. 21 arenas will be competing to be esports champions across five titles – Tekken 7 – FIFA 19 – Overwatch – League of Legends and Rainbow 6 Siege. The finals this season will be taking place on the esports stage at Insomnia 64 from the NEC in Birmingham. There are prizes, there is passion, there is glory – this is by far one of the best first steps onto the esports ladder.
But, Arena Clash is actually quite unique, you don’t have to be the best of the best to take part. Our tournament focuses on community first… Each title has a community night - think of them like sort of like a gym. It’s a place where you can show off hone and improve your skills or hone and improve. A place where you can hang out with likeminded people, make new friends and be part of something.
We have leagues to cater for all skill sets: the Arena Clash Championship is our premier tier – those in the community that qualify for this league will represent their Arena – their Tribe – in what is rapidly becoming the UKs most exciting esports league. The Challenger League is for 2nd place qualifiers to get stuck in and represent their tribes and the Underground League is for the up and comings, those who didn’t qualify but still want to represent. No matter what League you end up in – you will have an incredible journey.
Spring 2019 is going to be an amazing season. We have more arena Tribes taking part, more titles for you to test your skills in and the stage at Insomnia 64 is going to be bigger and better than ever before. We have top tier production for our streamed matches across the season and our community stream – the Sunday Recap Show - will be back too. Come and part of something great.
