Warning: This content discusses mental health. If you need to speak to someone urgently, Samaritans are available 24/7 on 116 123. Mind also has a directory of various mental health support helplines here.

At MindForward Alliance, we work towards transforming workplace culture into one that supports mental health. We are a leading global not-for-profit organisation that empowers business leaders to take the bold actions needed to transform mental health discussion into mental health action, recognising the power that businesses can have not only on their people, but also on their broader ecosystems.

Our work focuses on creating communities, and the power of collaboration and congregation of thought. One such line of work is our Thriving From The Start (TFTS) Network. TFTS is a mental health community for people who are in their early careers or who are still in education and applying for jobs. The Network was established by us in collaboration with our members, in November 2018, and its mission is to create a culture of positive mental health in businesses for people in their early careers. The Network is run by a committee of volunteers, also in their early careers, who are committed to building mentally healthy workplaces. It was established by, and continues to be part of, our UK Early Careers Health Programme. Thriving from the Start has tackled numerous topics relevant to the population they support, such as loneliness, boundary setting, unhealthy perfectionism and others.

One very common feeling that people have while considering or making that first step on the career ladder is imposter syndrome. It’s not unusual and should not cause undue concern, please take a look at the video below for some tips on how to get past imposter syndrome.
