Naomi, Keele University
Highest Rank: GM5
Current Rank: M5
Primary Role: Support
Secondary Roles: Tank, DPS
Top 3 Heroes: Lucio, D.Va, Ana
Why should you be chosen to represent your region?
I've had multiple second place finishes in the WNB Cup and have recently become the game rep for Overwatch at Keele University. I've helped to foster positive relations between the Keele team and teams from other universities, especially Cardiff following our team-up in the recent WNB Winter Cup where we placed second. So far this split, I've played all 3 roles in various student competitions (Tank in WNB Cup, DPS in NSE and Support in USS).
Greatest Overwatch achievement?
Back to back WNB Winter Cup Finals and top 64 OD in 2022.

AzureTears, Lancaster University

Why should you be chosen to represent your region?
I am the greatest D.va player of all time (Don't Quote me on that). I defeat all my counters and never swap and I will bring honor to my country (Finland). And also I guess I'm good at DPS support....whatever.

Why should you be chosen to represent your region?
I have a lot of experience playing and I play competitively outside of the university leagues, I wasn't able to play in the most recent wnb games because not enough players from my uni exist to make a 5 player team. I have 9 years of experience on the game and play on teams actively.

Why should you be chosen to represent your region?
I think Northern Ireland deserves to shine more in esports! There’s so much passion and talent here that deserves wayyy more recognition. i help run QUBLAN (our student-run LAN) and i’ve seen how supportive and hard working our community is, so it would mean a lot to show what Northern Ireland can do and hopefully inspire more women and non-binary players to get involved ^_^
Greatest Overwatch achievement?
My biggest overwatch achievement so far was coming 2nd in the Ireland collegiate esports series, a tournament between universities across Ireland! More recently, I made it to the nse women & non-binary overwatch 2 semi-finals, which was such a confidence boost and made me even more excited to keep improving and competing <3

Mint, University of Chester
Highest Rank: GM
Current Rank: High Master/Low GM
Primary Role: Tank
Secondary Roles: DPS, Support
Top 3 Heroes: Junker Queen, Kiriko, Venture
Why should you be chosen to reprsent your region?
As Chester hasn't really had an impact on NSE before, I believe a new face from a new university could surprise the crowds. As a tank player, I've found it rare to find good Junker Queen players, so showing her true strength would be a dream come true. If she doesn't work out, I can adapt to whatever my team needs, I can play fast or I can play slow. The same goes for Venture, I'm currently challenging the best venture players in hero SR and I would love to see the hero pop off in tournaments like this, and I feel like I'm good enough to do that myself.
Greatest Overwatch achievement?
Won a few unofficial tournaments, Champ Venture SR.

Alice, University of Edinburgh
Highest Rank: GM4
Current Rank: M1
Primary Role: Support
Secondary Roles: Tank
Top 3 Heroes: Juno, Lucio, Ana
Why should you be chosen to represent your region?
I captain two teams on two different roles and IGL for both of them. I have won a NSE WNB tournament in the past, along with competed in high level matches in faceit and other NSE tournaments as a sub. Also, I wanna meet and play the game with new people, and in turn, win with them!
Greatest Overwatch achievement?
Winning the WNB tournament last year or hitting GM4 season 15.

Cresspacito, University of Leeds
Highest Rank: G5
Current Rank: S1

Why should you be chosen to represent your region?
I’ve never had the opportunity to before and am new to my university’s esports society! It’s already made me so many new friends and has helped my confidence - I want to continue this positive growth and I think this would be a great chance to do so!

Why should you be chosen to represent your region?
I've played on lots of teams in lots of different environments so am good at adapting and playing around new people. Coming 2nd in the wnb tournament this year gave me a taste of what it is to represent the wnb community at a higher level and I'd love to have that opportunity again.

Why should you be chosen to represent your region?
I am a great team player with a wealth of experience in the game (at almost 4000 hours comp time) so I understand a great deal about the game. I am a great listener who can adapt well to my team's needs, and I have experience playing for my university's top team for the 2nd year in a row. I feel I have good game sense and consistent aim (typically 80% accuracy with Ana). I also don't yell or clog up vc with comms, I try and make callouts I feel are important or necessary, or to make suggestions for my team. I am also a flex support player, so I can play almost any of the roster well, but I feel I excel at playing Ana, Mercy and Juno. I know that I am certainly not the best support player in the world, and I do make a lot of mistakes. But I recognise them and always strive to improve by taking on the advice of others, and this adaptability is what makes me a good player. I also played for the WNB All-Stars team in the 2024 tournament and won for the South 😄
Greatest Overwatch achievement?
Competitively, my greatest achievement has been winning the WNB All-Stars Winter 2024 for the South in last year's tournament, which was pretty awesome. But really, I feel my greatest OW achievement is how much I've improved as a player over the years and refined my mechanical skills to a high standard, and how I'm constantly open to advice and always trying to learn new things/playstyles to better my performance. Honestly though...I think managing to stay hardstuck diamond on and off for 2 years is an achievement in itself LOL, I think I just play too much :')

HanaSophie, University Studies at West Suffolk
Highest Rank: GM5
Current Rank: GM5
Primary Role: Tank
Secondary Roles: Support
Top 3 Heroes: Sigma, Ramattra, D.Va
Why should you be chosen to represent your region?
I would love to represent my region as there are not many Overwatch players from East Anglia! Also, I have run my own tournaments in the past (Cosmic Clash for SpecialEffect and Chase The Stars for marginalised genders) that University students have been playing in, but have never had the chance to play in these myself. NSE is such a great initiative for those looking to be involved in Esports, and this would be my first time officially being a part of an NSE event! Having worked in Esports for a while, I haven't had the time to be a player as such, but I have seen the good NSE has provided, whether that is opportunities to get involved in prod, or for players to experience tournaments. My university doesn't have an NSE team, so I would love to get involved in this event.
