Summary

This Tournament is for the Xbox One portion of the FIFA 20 NSE Spring Championship. If you wish to play on the PSN Portion click here. 

 

The FIFA 20 Xbox Championship will run in 2 stages. 

 

Stage 1

Qualifiers will run for 4 weeks using a modified Swiss tournament structure with the top players qualifying for group stages. The top performing players from the Swiss stage will qualify for playoffs (exact number of players qualifying will be based on signups). 

 

Stage 2

Playoffs will consist of a group stage followed by a single elimination bracket. 

 

The format is subject to change based on signup numbers and full details will be confirmed once signups close.

 

Prizes

1st Place £50 Game Store Credit

2nd Place £30 Game Store Credit

3rd Place £20 Game Store Credit

In addition to other prizes this tournament awards British University Esports Championship Points.

All prizes are for the overall FIFA 20 NSE Winter Championship and will be determined by the results of stage 3.

RULES SUMMARY

  • All players must be current students.
  • All games will use FUT Friendlies default settings:
    • Half Length: 6 Minutes Stadium: FEWC Stadium
    • Tactical Defending Required
    • Pause Rules governed by in-game mechanics
    • Trainer must be turned off
  • Your squad's overall rating must be 86 or lower as shown in game at the start of the match Your squad can include up to a maximum of 3 ICONs total, including your bench You cannot have a player with an overall rating above 86 on your bench All players on your squad, including your bench, must have an overall rating of at least 75 each Training items are strictly prohibited Loan Players are strictly prohibited. FIFA 20 Pro Player Cards are strictly prohibited.
  • If players are more than 15 minutes late they will forfeit a match.
  • Check-in deadline is 6:30pm. Teams who don't check-in will not get games for that evening.
  • Verbal abuse is not allowed. In particular any use of racist, sexist, homophobic or any other discriminatory language will lead to a minimum 3-week suspension.
  • Full Document will be available before the tournament starts.
