For the first time in two years, Barclays were able to host their annual Games Frenzy event in their gorgeous office in Canary Wharf, London.
In case you didn’t know, the Barclays Games Frenzy offers an opportunity to share interesting industry updates and inspirational stories. They also use their events to create an opportunity for their games & esports partners, indie developers and games industry bodies to showcase their work, make introductions and network. For the first time, they also opened their doors to students and alumni to connect with industry professionals!
As an official partner of Barclays, NSE was invited to run an exhibition at the event. We were all about showcasing The Games Innovation Challenge, a yearly event that we run in collaboration with Barclays that allows student game developers of the NSE community to prove their skills and create games. The developers of Carbon 12, Race to Space, Kingdom Run VR and Super Delivery, the winners of the 2022 edition of the competition, had the opportunity to promote their games to attendees and industry professionals alike, run demo stands and network.
Alex Coulson, NSE's Managing Director, was also part of the panel discussion around Esports and traditional sports, where he provided meaningful insights about his experience transitioning from the traditional sports industry to NSE.
